Sodium alginate

Sodium alginate dissolves in hot and cold water to form a viscous colloidal solution, which is a hydrophilic gel with strong
hydration ability.
Sodium alginate is a high viscosity polymer compound. It differs from starch, cellulose, etc., in that it has carboxyl group,which is a glucuronic acid formed by glycoside bond of the aldehyde group of β-D-mannouronic acid.
Applications
Sodium alginate can be used as emulsifying stabilizer and thickening agent, low caloric value, non-toxicity, easy expansion, high flexibility, has good thickening, stability, gel, foam stability and anti aging products, promote condensation and other functions.
